Ghosts

 

When searching through my room recently, I uncovered an old bag of games consoles and discs, untouched for years. Some of my best childhood memories were attached to these consoles, and it saddened me to see them so dusty and forgotten. This served as inspiration for my first exam piece. I decided I would photograph the consoles in this state, then place a very faint image of one of my favourite games on each console in the background of each respective image. The editing for these images was done in stages. First, I partially desaturated the images in Photoshop, before increasing the contrast of the images. Then, I moved them to Lightroom and added a black vignette. Finally, I placed these back into photoshop and added a faint image of a favourite classic game of mine in the backgound of each one.
