My Original Photos

Below is a contact sheet of my second photo shoot. I decided to use DSC_0094, as I felt the pose of the model was the most suited to the rock genre.

This is the image I chose to use. Whilst not angry, the model smirks at the camera, retaining Rock music's typical levels of attitude. Her hair casts a shadow on one side of her face, which looks gothic, but does not obscure her features. Her necklace is central and prominent, and all of the shirt's design is visible. A medium close-up seems to be the standard shot type for rock magazines such as Kerrang!

In the edited version of the photo, I recoloured her hair, giving her an iconic, colourful style similar to that of Hayley Williams. I also desaturated and brightened her face to make her seem pale, before saturating her lips and shirt to bring out the red. I made the small gem in her necklace red, to match the rest of the colour scheme, and most obviously removed the background in favour of a white space, and later a gradient.
