Soundtrack Permissions

For our soundtrack, we took music from three sources:

Incompetech.com (Royalty-free music composed by Kevin Macleod)

VideoCopilot's 'Pro Scores' CD

The Ink Spots' 1935 pop song 'Maybe'.

In each case, copyright permissions allow for our use of the tracks. In the case of Incompetech, all the music on the site is under a Creative Commons license, which allows for free and legal use of the works provided credit is given; we gave credit in our billing block to incompetech.com, thereby making us eligible to use the works.

For VideoCopilot's Pro Scores disk, the tracks are 'completely royalty free' provided one has legally purchased the disk, which our teacher had done.

The Ink Spots' song was over 50 years old at the time of use, and as such is now in the public domain

The other area where licensing was important was in our titles; we used a texture taken from a website, 'myfreetextures.com,' which allowed the use of the textures provided credit was given, just as it is being given here on this page.
