A Generation of Killers (Development)
The Originals
From a composition standpoint, I was pleased with the images from the beginning, and did not feel the need to crop any; I had observed the rule-of-thirds where appropriate and made some nice use of depth-of-field to draw the eye to important elements. However, I felt the images were nowhere near as striking visually as I would have liked, and I decided to perform some large multi-stage edits to enhance their impact.

The Edits
The first step was to desaturate all but the guns, to make the bright colours really look out-of-place even more so than they already did. I placed the images into Photoshop and used the Quick Select tool to cut around the guns, before inverting my selection in order to desaturate everything but the guns. Following this, the images were placed into lightroom, and I increased the clarity to make shadowing in the images harsher and detail clearer; making the images feel more 'gritty' as a result.
