I decided to create this shoot in response to a very specific incident which caught my attention whilst doing the rounds on social media last year. In what I found to be a quite incredulous case, a woman called for 'Breaking Bad' collectible figurines to be banned from ToysRUs, because she felt they were unsuitable for her children. Whilst I totally agree that Breaking Bad toys are not child-friendly, I do not believe this means retailers should stop stocking them; ToysRUs also sells violent video games, for instance, because it does not market itself entirely at children. In the interest of satire, I felt it would be interesting to compare the crimes of characters in Breaking Bad to those of the villains in the most popular child-friendly franchise in the world, Star Wars. Interestingly, the more horrific acts tended to come from the latter.
