With this shoot, I simply wanted to address the many ways in which humanity misuses animals. I drew inspiration from events such as the shooting of Cecil the Lion, the ivory trade and factory farming to come up with the ideas for the above images, which I think mostly speak for themselves. The effect of blood was created with red paint, the animals themselves being cheap plastic toys from my local convenience store; I intentionally used cheap, disposable toys to reflect the attitude many people have towards animals.
